Good morning,afternoon or evening!
I hope your all having a wondeful day and everything is going well for you.
Today i would like to talk about something i tried recently for the third or so time and that is water photography.
I have had a interest in this type of photography for a while now and have tried it a few times previous but could never get it right or i was never happy with the out come. I blamed it on the fact that i dont have enough light and/or the fact i wasnt very good at it due to the fact of being very new at it and also only having the cameras flash, a warm coloured desk light and a small lense mountable ring flash.
However recently i was visiting my dad and noticed he had a small ish fish tank that wasnt currently in use so i asked to borrow it and that day i went home cleaned it out, but by this time is was quite late in the day and so i decided becasue i have trouble sleeping anyway i would use try use this to my advantage as it would give me something to think about to try help me get to sleep. So i searched through many different videos on youtube watching other peoples attempts and then whilst trying to sleep thought about how i would do it myself.
The next day i got up filled the tank with water and placed everything how i wanted, sorted out the settings on my camera for what i thought i would need and started to shoot different things such as, i have 10 lego characters that i wanted to use and at one point i also put my go pro into the water.
As you can imagine i had a fair few shots that were a total waste or did not even capture the image atall due to learning the speed and timing but after a short while of me changing things around i finally managed to capture some what i believe are really cool images.
I will share one or two of them here below although they have not yet been altered in anyway (brightness, contrast etc).
It would be greatly appreciated if you could give me some feedback on the images and let me know what you think of them and or what i should try next or look out for in the future.
Thankyou very much for taking your precious time to read today and i hope to hear from you soon weather it be in the comments or on one of the social media sites.
Also just an FYI for anyone thats interested hopefully some time in the near future i will be creating my own instagram page for memyselfandphotography, so keep an eye out for that one poping up.
Thanks again and as always if you have any questions or feedback its all greatly appreciated.
Hope you all have a great rest of the day, and remember tomorrow isnt promised so that idea you have right now… act on it and make things happen.
